Shop with a Hero 2020

Christmas time is just around the corner and it is once again time for our annual Shop with a Hero (SWAH) program! SWAH is a program hosted by the Granby Police and Fire departments and is designed to help provide Christmas for children whose families are struggling, children in the foster care system, or children considered "at risk" youths.

Granby Emergency Services partner up with our local businesses, residents  and other private donations to provide this program and it is fully funded by these donations (they are the true heroes!) On the day of the event, we will meet qualifying children and their families at WalMart in Neosho, where each child will be provided the opportunity to spend some one on one time with a police officer or firefighter as they shop around the store, able to purchase toys, books, clothes, games, or most anything they could desire up, up to a dollar amount determined by the funds raised and amount of children accepted for the program.

Applications are being provided here for download. Each family wishing to apply will need to fully complete the application and turn it back into either the police department or city hall. Applications will be accepted until the end  the business day on December 7th. We will contact families within 48 hours. The event will be held on December 11th at 5:00 p.m.

Anyone wishing to donate can bring cash or a check to city hall for Shop with a Hero.
